About this role
Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be part of the Malaysian Exploration team. You will collaborate closely with the Exploration Manager Malaysia and the APC Area Exploration Manager. Your work will directly support TotalEnergies’ portfolio growth and exploration drilling strategies in Malaysia.
As a Senior Exploration Geophysicist, you will lead geophysical data analysis, interpretation, and synthesis to support exploration activities. You will contribute to geological model development in integrated geoscience projects. You will also support play and prospect evaluations and new venture assessments.
You will validate new evaluation methods and ensure best practices in data management. You will mentor junior geophysicists and promote knowledge sharing across teams. You will represent the geophysical discipline in technical evaluations and partner engagements.
You will ensure compliance with HSE and geoscience standards. Your role involves deep integration within the Malaysian energy landscape. This position offers opportunities to influence exploration strategies and team development.
Requirements
- MSc in Engineering, Geology, or Geophysics; PhD in Geophysics is a plus
- 10+ years of professional experience in geoscience and exploration
- Proven experience in seismic survey design, acquisition monitoring, and processing supervision
- Deep understanding of Malaysia’s energy landscape and regulatory frameworks
- Curious mind and collaborative approach
