Graduate Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist
4w1 month agoCMW Geosciences
Ballina, AU · Full-time · A$65,000 – A$80,000
About this role
CMW Geosciences is a hard-working, down-to-earth team of passionate engineers and geologists providing quality geotechnical site investigation, analysis, and design advice to the construction, infrastructure, and energy sectors. With 22 offices across Australia and New Zealand and backed by the Kiwa Group's global network, we offer graduates a fast-track career from day one.
As a graduate, you'll step into hands-on, field-based roles where you build technical knowledge every day. A typical day could include completing manual fieldwork, logging rock and soil bore holes, undertaking hand augers, or observing piling and ground improvement on construction sites.
In the office, you'll process logs and soil samples, write technical reports, and assist project managers with deliverables. You'll work on diverse projects across countries—from communicating design elements on a community housing development in Rotorua to carrying piling supervision at the MacIntyre Windfarm in Queensland.
Unlike larger organizations, you won't be siloed into one stream or handed low-responsibility tasks. You'll learn technical, practical, and project-related skills, with the expectation that within 3-4 years you'll manage and run projects from start to finish, guided by senior technical staff.
