About this role

AECOM's environmental practice is dedicated to helping industries, clients and governments meet their environmental responsibilities while protecting the natural environment. This role offers a balance of fieldwork and office-based activities, providing exposure to local and interstate site investigations, environmental assessments, data analysis and technical reporting.

You will support preliminary and detailed site investigations, including field sampling, data collection and reporting. You will also assist with contaminated land assessments and environmental due diligence studies, and contribute to the development of remedial action plans and site validation reports.

You'll have opportunities to work on projects across a variety of sectors and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients and contractors to help deliver sustainable environmental outcomes. The team is described as a caring, close-knit group that supports each other through life's ups and downs.

Requirements

  • Degree in environmental science, earth science, geology, or a related geoscience discipline
  • Understanding of contaminated land assessment and remediation principles
  • Ability to conduct fieldwork, including soil and groundwater sampling
  • Proficiency in data analysis and technical report writing
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and due diligence processes
  • Willingness to travel for local and interstate site investigations

Responsibilities

  • Support preliminary and detailed site investigations, including field sampling, data collection and reporting
  • Assist with contaminated land assessments and environmental due diligence studies
  • Analyse environmental data and contribute to the preparation of technical reports and digital deliverables
  • Contribute to the development of remedial action plans and site validation reports
  • Participate in site works and contractor supervision during remediation activities
  • Collaborate with technical specialists across environmental, engineering and planning disciplines
