About this role
As a Senior Engineering Geologist in our Transport team based in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, you’ll contribute to projects and programs that make a real difference. You will be part of a team that embraces challenges, welcomes diverse ideas, and engineers solutions with people and outcomes in mind.
You will plan and lead complex ground investigations, interpret ground conditions, and lead development of 3D models for complex geological environments. You will provide ground engineering and ground risk advice, deliver technical reports and geotechnical assessments, and support transport, water, and infrastructure project delivery.
You will coordinate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams while mentoring junior engineering geologists and field staff. You will also contribute to proposals and wider project delivery activities, taking greater ownership of your work.

Requirements
- Degree in Geology or Engineering Geology
- 8+ years’ experience within engineering geology consulting
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Auckland
- Strong capability across investigations, interpretation and reporting
- Experience leading field programmes and mentoring others
- Experience with GIS, LeapFrog, Rocscience, gINT/OpenGround or similar
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Chartered status or working toward chartership
