Hydrogeologist / Water Resources Engineer

Black & Veatch is seeking a motivated, self-reliant, and detailed-oriented person to join our team as a Hydrogeologist / Water Resources Engineer. This position consists of an approximate mix of field and office assignments with potential for national support. Tasks include planning and overseeing water supply evaluations and groundwater production wells.

Lead field data evaluations, prepare well permit applications, and generate technical specifications and bid documents. Develop schedules and budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, collaborate across disciplines, and prepare reports. The role offers opportunities outside the home office locality.

Black & Veatch’s Water Supply & Hydrogeology group helps clients achieve reliable, sufficient, and sustainable water supply. Provide source water management, water quality evaluations, well rehabilitation, wellfield optimization, and conceptual and numerical groundwater modeling. Leverage assets and enhance system operability with hydrogeologic solutions.

This position provides guidance, training, and oversight to early-career professionals. Gain growth and development in technical experience, project task management, and presentation skills. Preferred locations include Louisville, Houston, Kansas City, Austin, Tampa, Orlando, or Cary, NC.
