About this role
Aurecon’s New South Wales Environment and Planning team has strong capability from project planning and feasibility to construction across New South Wales and Australia. You will play an integral part in a team that brings ideas to life for clients in built environment, Defence, transport, energy and government sectors. The role offers diverse, interesting and challenging work in a consulting environment.
Lead fieldwork campaigns including soil, groundwater and surface water sampling, and supervision of drilling, test pitting and groundwater well installation. Manage field programs with contractor engagement, premobilisation and safety planning. Develop Sampling Analysis and Quality Plans, Preliminary Site Investigations, Detailed Site Investigations and Remediation Action Plans for peer and senior review.
Develop reports to exceptional technical and editorial standard while working collaboratively to meet client expectations. Support State Significant Development and Infrastructure projects through specialist reports for Environmental Impact Statements and Review of Environmental Factors. Collaborate with inter-disciplinary teams, liaise with clients and regulators, and provide proposal and project management inputs.

Requirements
- Tertiary degree in environmental engineering or science disciplines
- 1-3 years’ experience in contaminated land
- Relevant experience in undertaking contaminated land and/or groundwater investigations
- Understanding of the Environmental Protection Act 1994 and National Environment Protection Measures and other current and emerging NSW EPA legislation, standards and guidelines for contaminated land
- Familiarity with the NSW EPA Auditor scheme
- Desire to deliver exceptional client experiences
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Current driver’s licence

- Provide coaching and mentoring to graduate team members
- Prepare high quality analysis and technical reports to ASC NEPM and NSW EPA requirements
- Collaborate with inter-disciplinary teams; liaise with clients and regulators
