About this role
You will tackle complex resource estimations by blending technical expertise with a consulting-style approach. The role involves managing project schedules while delivering advanced geology services across multiple commodities and terrains.
Day-to-day work centres on owning scope and schedules to produce defensible technical solutions. You will shape grassroots exploration programs, conduct technical reviews, and provide due diligence that informs high-stakes client investment decisions.
You will join a small but growing consultancy team that values collaborative input and innovative thinking. Flexible start and finish times support work-life balance while you partner with internal teams and external stakeholders across mine planning and production.
This position offers both people leadership and a broad technical remit. Your judgement will directly influence client outcomes and help secure repeat work through strong proposal support and relationship building.
Requirements
- 6+ years’ experience in mining/exploration geology, geological modelling and resource estimation.
- Sound working knowledge of JORC and ASX reporting requirements (NI 43-101 well-regarded but not essential).
- Experience across multiple commodities.
- Proficiency with industry software such as Leapfrog, Vulcan, Surpac or Supervisor.
- Communication and report-writing style that influences stakeholders and supports decision-making.
- Current and unrestricted working rights in Australia.
Responsibilities
- Own Mineral Resource estimation from interpretation through to defensible models.
- Audit and assure outputs while delivering high-quality compliant reports aligned with JORC and relevant industry standards.
- Mentor and uplift developing geologists, driving technical excellence and best practice.
- Partner with internal teams and client stakeholders across mine planning and production.
- Manage scope, schedules and workflows to ensure delivery on time and within budget.
- Build lasting client relationships and support proposals and tenders to secure repeat work and new clients.
