About this role

We are a growing environmental consulting firm providing a full range of environmental engineering, planning, compliance, remediation, and construction services throughout California. We seek a motivated California Licensed Professional Geologist who enjoys both field and office work in a collaborative environment.

The role involves preparing and reviewing technical reports with emphasis on high-quality technical writing. You will conduct site investigations, subsurface exploration, groundwater monitoring, and environmental site assessments while interpreting data to develop practical remediation solutions.

You will coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies while supporting project management activities including budgeting, scheduling, and scope development. The position offers stable full-time employment in a supportive open-door culture with mentorship from senior staff.

Requirements

  • Active California Professional Geologist (PG) license – REQUIRED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • 4–8 years of environmental consulting experience
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills
  • Experience with groundwater monitoring, remediation systems, and environmental investigations
  • Familiarity with California environmental regulations and agency processes
  • Current OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification with annual refresher
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and ability to pass pre-employment and annual drug/alcohol screening

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review technical reports, regulatory documents, and field documentation with strong emphasis on high-quality technical writing
  • Conduct and oversee site investigations, subsurface exploration, groundwater monitoring, and environmental site assessments
  • Interpret environmental data and develop practical remediation solutions
  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies professionally and effectively
  • Support project management activities including budgeting, scheduling, and scope development
  • Mentor and collaborate with junior staff in both field and office settings
