About this role
The Geologist position is part of the Geoscience team within the Suriname affiliate. The role centers on supporting development of two fields with four reservoirs in water depths from 100 to 1400 meters. First oil is planned for mid-2028 under the GranMorgu project.
Daily work involves geological and 2G&R synthesis to ensure preservation and quality of all geological data and interpretations. The geologist maintains continuous updates of data analyses and field synthesis. New well results are integrated promptly as drilling progresses with two rigs.
The affiliate is new with large development areas requiring drilling of 32 wells featuring WAG, gas injection, water injection and production wells. Two drilling ships operate in parallel on subsea wells with complex lateral reservoir sections. Relationships with authorities and partners are essential.
Innovative ideas are needed to develop contingent resources as tiebacks to the main project. The geologist contributes to successful execution through data management and synthesis in a dynamic exploration setting. This position offers involvement in a major offshore development with significant technical challenges.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in geoscience and reservoir
- Strong skills in geological data management and interpretation quality control
- Experience integrating new well results into ongoing field synthesis
- Knowledge of offshore development involving subsea wells and complex reservoir sections
- Familiarity with WAG, gas injection, water injection and production well planning
Responsibilities
- Ensure the preservation, consistency, and quality of all geological data and interpretations
- Maintain continuous updates of data analyses and field synthesis, integrating the ongoing influx of new well results
- Perform geological and 2G&R synthesis across the Sapakara and Krabdagu fields
- Support drilling of 32 wells with two rigs including WAG, GI, WI and OP wells
- Integrate interpretations from four reservoirs in water depths ranging from 100 to 1400 meters
- Contribute to gas re-injection and WAG scheme planning for the GranMorgu project
- Assist development of contingent resources planned as future tiebacks
