About this role
This key role centers on a Well Log Data Management project utilizing AspenTech’s proprietary software for Formation Evaluation and Characterization. The specialist will focus on maintaining high-quality well log data in a repository and preparing composite logs for advanced geological workflows.
As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with customers to understand their specific challenges and provide innovative solutions. Daily tasks include collecting and consolidating well data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and generating final composite logs and LAS files.
You will report to the Director of Customer Enablement and deliver full-time, on-site support to one of AspenTech’s most strategic customers in the Middle East. Collaboration with the Project Manager and customer is essential for effective coordination and successful delivery of project activities.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or related Earth Science field.
- Experience with well log data management and petrophysical interpretation.
- Proficiency in using formation evaluation software, preferably AspenTech's proprietary tools.
- Strong understanding of Total Organic Carbon (TOC) estimation from wireline logs.
- Ability to collect, consolidate, and validate well data from multiple sources.
- Experience generating composite logs and preparing LAS files.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting data issues.
- Ability to present technical reports and recommendations to senior management and customers.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer support on a Well Log Data Management project utilizing AspenTech’s proprietary software for Formation Evaluation and Characterization.
- Collect and consolidate well data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency of well log data through detailed review and validation with data providers.
- Oversee and validate petrophysical work, ensuring technical accuracy and timely delivery.
- Generate final composite logs for all wells and prepare final LAS files containing all well log attributes.
- Assist with troubleshooting technical and petrophysical data problems using AspenTech’s proprietary software.
- Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to senior management and customers.
- Support geological and petrophysical workflows by providing validated well log and related subsurface data.
