Corporate & Investment Banking delivers a comprehensive suite of capital markets, banking, and financial products and services. The Acquisitions & Divestitures team within the Energy & Power Group seeks a Geologist at the Associate level, reporting to the Head of Acquisitions & Divestitures. The team advises companies operating in upstream and midstream sectors.

Generate strategic content, including financial and technical analysis and product-specific concepts. Review and analyze market data, valuation analyses, models, and presentations that require research, evaluation, and independent judgment. Present complex ideas and analyses to internal and external parties.

The team comprises experienced, product-focused bankers partnering with industry coverage bankers to develop strategic recommendations. Coordinate deliverables with internal product partners. Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Present recommendations for resolving business challenges while exercising independent judgment and developing expertise in function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Interact with internal and external customers. The role demands working long hours in a highly focused, collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Experience in Aries, PHDWin, and Spotfire
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam within 90 days of hire if not available for transfer
  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) within 90 days of hire if not available for transfer
  • Registration for FINRA Series 79 within 90 days of hire if not available for transfer
  • This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements
