Your days will vary from hiking in the mountains to retrieve groundwater level loggers, completing groundwater exploration in the desert, collating and analysing field data or contributing to reports and proposals. Requirements
- Tertiary degree qualifications in geoscience/geology/hydrogeology/environment or related disciplines
- Two plus years of technical experience in groundwater resources, hydrogeological assessments, dewatering, groundwater monitoring and/or environmental assessments
- Demonstrated ability, energy and enthusiasm to undertake fieldwork including hydrogeological supervision of drilling and bore construction, aquifer testing or groundwater sampling
- Competency in the use of relevant industry software such as MS Excel, Surfer, AQTESOLV, QGIS, MLU, ESdat, LogPlot and Python
- Appreciation of relevant QLD and Commonwealth legislation and water policy
- Valid Australian Driver’s License and excellent driving history (4WD experience is an advantage)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in the preparation of technical reports
- Ability to manage your own time and priorities to assist the team in meeting project objectives and deadlines
