About this role

AMC Consultants, now part of AFRY, seeks a Principal Geologist to join its global Geosciences team. This role focuses on helping clients gain deeper insight into their project geology and enhance orebody knowledge through technical expertise and data-driven solutions.

Day-to-day, you will lead geological modelling, Mineral Resource estimates, and data analysis including geostatistics and QAQC reviews. You will also conduct technical audits, mining studies, due diligence, metal balance and reconciliation audits, exploration advice, grade control development, and geometallurgy.

Requirements

Extensive experience in geological modelling and mineral resource estimation
Proficiency in geostatistical analysis and QAQC review
Track record of conducting mining studies, due diligence, and technical audits
Strong understanding of metal balance and reconciliation
Expertise in exploration advice and grade control development
Familiarity with geometallurgy and its application
Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, data-driven solutions to clients
Collaborative mindset with experience working in globally distributed teams

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality geological modelling and Mineral Resource estimates
Perform data analysis including geostatistics and QAQC reviews
Conduct technical and annual audits, mining studies, and due diligence
Manage metal balance and reconciliation audits
Provide exploration advice and support
Develop and optimize grade control processes
Apply geometallurgical techniques to enhance orebody knowledge
