About this role
Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, the Mine Geologist provides front-line geological support for definition and delineation drilling programs, including diamond drill coordination, contractor interface, drill forecasting, and cost tracking. The role contributes directly to grade control execution through geological and structural mapping, interpretation of mineralized zones, and development of 3D models.
Working closely with mine operations, engineering, and planning teams, the Mine Geologist ensures geological interpretations are translated into practical guidance for short- to mid-term mine planning and daily production decisions. Responsibilities include performing inspections, job observations, and making recommendations for additional diamond drilling to improve ore deposit understanding.
The Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada, employing over 900 team members in underground and open pit operations. The mine is located in northern Ontario near Dubreuilville, 83 km northeast of Wawa. Join a team prioritizing employee growth, high performance, and a culture of safety and accountability.
Alamos Gold is a Canadian-based gold producer with a long-term track record of creating value through solid financial performance, low-cost production growth, and commitment to social responsibility and environmental stewardship.
