Join Fugro’s Geo-data revolution with global reach and unique know-how. The Geophysicist is a survey team member responsible for quality of recorded geophysical data, survey completeness, and interpretation of records. Oversee final report writing and chart production with the Project Manager.
Plan geophysical data acquisition per scope, specification, and schedule. Conduct pre-mob checks on equipment and systems like GLOG/GPLOT. Participate in mobilisation, installation, calibration, and verification of survey equipment on site.
Ensure online quality control of acquired data, ordering re-runs if needed. Perform data backups, archival, and detailed field interpretation for preliminary and final reports. Carry out QC of charts, drawings, and soil sampling analysis using drop-core or vibro-core.
Report to PC/PM on field jobs and to Resource Manager in office for administration, competence assessment, training, and career development. Acquire skills in deployment of geophysical equipment and data interpretation techniques. Push Fugro’s pioneering spirit with meaningful work in a team.
Requirements
- M.Sc./M.Tech in Geophysics/Geology or related subjects
- 3+ years experience
- Experience in offshore surveys
- Knowledge of geophysical equipment and software in use
- High degree of technical reporting skills in English
- Acquisition, processing, and interpretation of SSS, SBP & Magnetometer data
- Soil sampling/analysis using Grab sampler/Gravity corer
- Field reporting
Responsibilities

- Ensure data backups, annotation, and archival per approved procedures
- Carry out detailed interpretation of data and prepare field and final reports
- Conduct soil sampling with drop-core/vibro-core, on-field analysis, and QC of lab reports
