About this role

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented entry level geologist who exhibits great problem-solving skills, a “can do” attitude and thrives in a high-energy environment. In this role, you will work closely with a team of environmental engineers and geologists supporting various environmental investigation, design and construction projects. These projects include soil, sediment, and groundwater remediation.

You will perform various field and office tasks supporting environmental investigations, remedial designs and remedial construction oversight. Develop and/or oversee field investigation programs, including soil borings and groundwater monitoring. Review boring logs and develop subsurface soil profiles.

Complete investigation and construction field assignments that may require occasional travel and limited lifting. Coordinate laboratory testing programs and analyze and interpret laboratory test results. Work effectively and collaboratively with the project team in a high-energy environment.

This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team. Develop management skills to grow into a Task Manager/Project Manager/Technical Lead position. Implement behavior-based safety practices to achieve incident free operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geology or related field
  • Master’s degree in similar fields preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related computer software applications
  • Demonstrated proficiency in both written and oral communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate is preferred but not required
  • 3+ years of related work experience

Responsibilities
