RED OHMS Group is a leading consultancy servicing the resources, oil, gas, construction, manufacturing, agriculture, education, infrastructure, and government sectors across Australia. We specialise in occupational hygiene, environment, and hazardous materials services. As part of our East Coast growth, we seek Graduate Consultants in Contaminated Land Management for our Queensland environmental team on a casual basis.
This role involves taking a crucial part in delivering complex, high-profile projects across urban, industrial, infrastructure, and resource sectors. You will assist with preliminary and detailed site investigations, develop remediation action plans, perform soil, groundwater, and vapour assessments, and prepare technical reports aligned with NEPM and state regulations.

Requirements
- Completing or completed a tertiary qualification in environmental science, geology, environmental engineering, hydrogeology, or related field
- Familiarity with relevant state (QLD/NSW EPA) and national guidelines, including the NEPM and ASC NEPM
- Experience with performing fieldworks
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills, with a practical and solutions-focused mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to clients, regulators, and peers
- A current Australian driver’s license, and a willingness to travel, including to remote and regional sites
- High attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus and accuracy in fast-paced environments
- A flexible and adaptive attitude, particularly with fieldwork and interstate travel
Responsibilities
- Assist with Preliminary and Detailed Site Investigations (PSI/DSI)
- Assist with developing and implementing Remediation Action Plans (RAPs) and Site Management Plans (SMPs)
- Perform soil, groundwater, and vapour assessments
- Prepare waste classification and disposal advice
- Support or perform human health and ecological risk assessments
- Prepare clear and accurate technical reports in line with NEPM (ASC) and relevant state regulations
