About this role

We are seeking two experienced Operations / Wellsite Geologists (Development Geologist II or III) for an office-based role. These individuals will support development well planning, drilling execution, and well placement activities for unconventional assets. One hire will ideally bring experience in Appalachia assets and the other in South Oklahoma.

This role involves creating and executing development plans for unconventional drilling programs. Oversee drilling activities, monitor geologic execution, and interpret subsurface and drilling-related geologic data. Integrate geologic findings into the overall development concept.

Work closely with remote operations teams and onsite mudloggers to ensure optimal well placement and efficient drilling execution. Coordinate drilling activities across multiple disciplines, including Land, Regulatory, Reservoir Engineering, and Drilling. Provide geologic support during active drilling operations.

Strong candidates from other unconventional basins may also be considered. The position suits those comfortable with minimal field travel. Contribute to integrating geologic data into the broader development strategy.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in unconventional development
  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting active drilling operations
  • Experience in Appalachia or Oklahoma unconventional assets strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Petra, Kingdom, and Petrel
  • Strong data interpretation skills
