Seeking active, creative, resourceful candidates for ExxonMobil-operated rig sites (offshore and onshore) in 28/28 on/off rotator role. Execute well plans per work scopes, providing high-quality results to Operations Centre.

Ensure full adherence to HSE policies, standards, practices; participate in on-site HSE events. Detect and evaluate subsurface geohazards through analysis and integration of data-sets. Supervise geological activities including mudlogging, LWD/MWD, wireline logging, coring, validating data quality.

Describe lithology from ditch cuttings and cores, report hydrocarbon shows, create composite logs using industry software. Perform quick look interpretation at wellsite to optimize operational choices. Monitor operations, witness activities, maintain communication between parties for safe wellsite operations.

Prepare comprehensive daily geological reports, maintain data flow to operations center. Oversee conditioning, labelling, transportation of rock and fluid samples. Join diverse workforce bringing solutions to Upstream, Product Solutions, Low Carbon Solutions businesses.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities
  • Oral and written communication skills, leadership and supervising capabilities
  • Ability to operate and deliver under challenging and demanding situations
  • Proficient in technical and practical knowledge of mudlogging services, LWD/MWD services, wireline services, drilling and coring operations
  • Understanding of limits of drilling and geological data from high-end tools used on-site
  • Proficient with sophisticated technology and IT
  • Active, creative, and resourceful

Responsibilities

  • Ensure full adherence with company's HSE policies, standards, practices and participate in all on-site HSE events
  • Detect and evaluate subsurface geohazards through analysis and integration of all available data-sets
  • Supervise geological activities including mudlogging, LWD/MWD, wireline logging, core, formation pressure testing and fluid sampling; validate data quality
  • Describe and report lithology from ditch cuttings and cores with hydrocarbon shows in prescribed format; create composite log using industry standard software
  • Supervise geological operations personnel and ensure equipment from service partners aligns with program/contracts; perform quality checks/calibrations
  • Perform quick look interpretation at wellsite during or after drilling phase to optimize operational choices
  • Monitor, witness operations and maintain communication between relevant parties; make on-site decisions for casing, coring, logging in consultation with Operations Geologist
  • Prepare comprehensive daily geological report and oversee conditioning, labelling, transportation of rock and fluid samples
