We employ the latest in signal processing, physics-based modelling and imaging technology with advanced high-performance computing. This builds high-resolution 3D subsurface seismic images and models for clients in energy and natural resources.

Use physics and mathematics to solve real world problems as a geophysicist. Develop scientific skills in industry without prior geophysics knowledge, as all necessary training is provided. Focus on subsurface imaging for complex natural resource challenges.

Work with globally diverse clients and teams, building long-term relationships through service excellence. Manage complex technical projects with multiple deadlines. Gain cultural awareness through interactions and training.

Develop expertise in signal processing, modelling and imaging, plus geoscience and data science. Later, build leadership skills, contribute to others' development, publish papers and present at conferences. Enhance communication and collaboration abilities.

Requirements

  • Integrated or postgraduate Master’s or PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Geophysics, Astrophysics/Astronomy, Earth Sciences or Natural Sciences with Physics specialisation
  • Exceptional performance at BSc level also considered
  • Logical approach to problem solving
  • Technical knowledge in an area of applied mathematics or physics
  • Enthusiastic and curious attitude towards learning and passion for subject
  • Technical agility to adapt existing knowledge to a new field
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts
  • Evidence of leadership, teamwork or customer service from university societies, extracurricular activities, volunteering or work experience
