Our national environmental team is growing, seeking a Principal Environmental Scientist for the Adelaide office.

This senior leadership role involves delivering contaminated land projects, providing project guidance, supporting clients, and mentoring junior consultants. The position can be tailored to strengths in remediation, hydrogeology, risk assessment, or auditing. You'll combine technical expertise with client insight for real impact.

Key responsibilities include leading complex projects, building client relationships, and providing technical leadership. You'll mentor junior and mid-level staff while supporting national project delivery. The role emphasizes collaboration in a strong team environment.

Requirements

  • Tertiary degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Environmental Management or related qualification
  • 15+ years' experience in contaminated land or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with clients and other key stakeholders
  • Experience in a similar position
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong team player
  • Experience in training and mentoring staff
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
