About this role
Wood is seeking a GIS Specialist to join our Oil, Gas & New Energies business focusing on large and complex projects for energy companies. This hybrid opportunity places you in the Survey, GIS and Data Management Team supporting offshore oil and gas plus US onshore and offshore clean energy markets. Advance the use of GIS and digital technologies in a varied role.
Daily tasks include managing project GIS databases with data loading, quality assurance, and metadata. Produce maps, charts, reports, and data deliverables for internal and external use. Develop and maintain map services for web-based GIS portals while responding to project queries.
Collaborate with engineers and designers on pipeline routing and GIS analysis. Participate in project meetings, workshops, and contribute to data specifications. Join a growing team delivering innovative solutions challenging the status-quo in upstream, midstream, and decarbonisation markets.

Requirements
- Strong background in GIS
- Experience in survey, GIS and data management
- Knowledge of GIS applications in oil and gas projects
- Skills in GIS analysis for pipeline routing
- Proficiency in producing geospatial data deliverables
- Ability to develop web-based GIS content
- Familiarity with digital technologies in energy sector
- Experience supporting clean energy markets
Responsibilities
