About this role

TotalEnergies operates Mozambique’s Area 1 block, a strategic asset with ~65 Tscf of recoverable gas feeding multi-phase LNG developments. The Senior Reservoir Geophysicist role is embedded in a highly collaborative environment with drilling, engineering, subsurface, and business teams. Exceptional seismic and well data quality offers a unique opportunity for high-impact geophysical work.

Lead full-cycle interpretation and integration of geophysical data across Area 1 fields, performing advanced seismic interpretation, well calibration, and seismic reservoir characterization. Build and update velocity models while contributing to integrated subsurface studies combining geophysical insights with geological, petrophysical, and reservoir engineering data. This enhances static and dynamic models in a greenfield development context.

Identify, quantify, and rank subsurface uncertainties, recommending geophysical studies like reprocessing, inversion, and AVO to optimize field development and reduce risk. Support well planning and provide geophysical input during drilling operations, integrating real-time and post-well results. Collaborate closely with drilling engineers and subsurface teams for safe, optimal well placement.

Serve as the geophysical focal point, ensuring quality and consistency across internal and contractor studies. Mentor and coach team members in a dynamic LNG project environment. Leverage exceptional data for technical leadership and high-impact contributions to Mozambique LNG developments.
