Join WSP's growing team as a Project Geologist, based in Calgary, Vancouver, or Sudbury. You will collaborate with a high-performing group of geologists, engineers, and scientists to deliver innovative solutions for clients in the global mining sector. This role supports mineral project development in a safe, cost-effective, and responsible manner.
In this role, you will support resource and structural geology projects from early-stage exploration through to resource estimation. You will compile, analyze, and interpret geological and field data to inform technical assessments and recommendations. Additionally, you will develop geological models using industry-standard software to support project delivery.
You will collaborate within multidisciplinary teams while delivering high-quality work under senior guidance. Upholding WSP and client health and safety standards with a strong safety-first mindset is essential. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology
- Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Geologist (P.Geo.) or Geologist in Training (GIT) in Canada
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in exploration, grade control, or resource evaluation
- Experience working in consulting or technical services within mining or exploration environments
- Demonstrated experience contributing to technical mining projects and reports
- Proficiency with geological data analysis and modeling tools such as Datamine, Vulcan, Leapfrog, ArcGIS, or Global Mapper
- Strong communication skills, including technical writing and presentations
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally and to remote project locations
Responsibilities
- Support resource and structural geology projects from early-stage exploration through to resource estimation
- Compile, analyze, and interpret geological and field data to inform technical assessments and recommendations
- Develop geological models using industry-standard software to support project delivery
- Prepare high-quality technical reports, figures, and documentation for clients and regulators
- Contribute to proposal development and project planning activities
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams while delivering high-quality work under senior guidance
