About this role
We are looking for a Senior Platform Developer to design, develop, and support Field Data Collection (FDC) solutions for a large, globally distributed Environmental Services business. The role involves building scalable, user-friendly digital forms, workflows, and reporting solutions using ESRI ArcGIS platforms and Microsoft Power Platform. Work closely with business stakeholders, functional leads, and developers to translate requirements into reliable production solutions.
Design and develop FDC forms and workflows, converting paper-based or legacy digital processes into modern solutions. Build and enhance applications using ESRI ArcGIS Online, Survey123, Field Maps, Workforce, Experience Builder, and Microsoft Power Platform tools like Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. Develop reusable components, integrate data sources such as SharePoint, databases, and external systems.
Independently handle the full solution lifecycle from development and testing to deployment and production support. Collaborate with global teams across time zones, engage stakeholders to understand needs, and proactively communicate risks and resolutions. Review code from junior team members and provide technical guidance.
Participate in user acceptance testing including test case preparation and defect resolution. Ensure solutions meet performance, security, quality standards, and organizational data compliance. Mentor citizen developers in using ESRI and Power Platform tools effectively for ongoing support.
Requirements
- 7+ years of overall software development experience
- 5–7 years hands-on experience with ESRI Field Data Collection tools: Survey123, Field Maps, ArcGIS Online, Experience Builder
- Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform: Power Apps (Canvas apps preferred), Power Automate, Power BI (basic to intermediate)
- Experience developing enterprise-scale, production-ready applications
- Understanding of Agile development practices
