About this role
Join AECOM's Environmental Services team as a Dutch speaking Environmental Consultant based in Ghent. Work in a dynamic team on contaminated soil investigation and remediation for international private sector clients in Belgium and abroad. Projects include risk assessments, remedial design and follow-up.
Perform environmental oversight of remedial works under project manager supervision. Control remediation contractor performance against the remedial action plan and coordinate field service subcontractors. Collect soil and groundwater samples during assessment and remedial activities.
Handle daily reporting and regulator reporting for the Flanders region. Coordinate with laboratories for timely analysis and compile field data into conceptual site models. Undertake desk studies, site investigations, data analysis and interpretive report writing.

Requirements
- Master or BSc degree in Geology, Geography, Bio Engineering or another technical, environmental or chemical field
- Fluent Dutch and English language skills both written and verbal
- Confidence with client communication and customer focus
- Excellent analytical, report writing and communication skills
- Solid attention to detail and thorough approach to work
- Able to work both independently and in teams
- Valid driver license for a car
- Strong commitment to AECOM’s health and safety culture
Responsibilities
