The firm is seeking an Environmental Engineer, Scientist or Geologist to join its Milwaukee team. This individual will serve a key function in site exploration activities on a complex and diverse portfolio of projects.

Day-to-day work includes contaminated site investigation and remediation, soil and groundwater sampling, vapor intrusion investigation, and remedial design and monitoring. The role also covers pilot tests, data management and evaluation, and report preparation. Field inspections and oversight of subcontractors form a core part of the position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • 0-2 years of work-related experience
  • Prior relevant internship or professional work experience preferred
  • EIT Certification or current registration for FE exam for applicants with an engineering degree
  • Strong technical education, professional demeanor, and desire to learn
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Perform field inspections and environmental investigations
  • Perform air, soil, gas, and groundwater sampling and remediation of contaminated properties
  • Assist with planning and execution of field investigations by logging borings, collecting samples, performing field tests, and recording data
  • Perform routine and special calculations
  • Provide field oversight of remediation activities and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with job specifications
  • Identify and implement solutions to field and laboratory problems and accurately document results
  • Assist with preparation of technical reports, specifications, plans, and environmental assessment and remediation deliverables
