About this role

At AECOM, the environmental practice helps industries, clients and governments meet their environmental responsibilities while protecting the natural environment. You will join the Geosciences and Remediation Services team as a Contaminated Land Consultant working on challenging projects across multiple sectors.

The role combines fieldwork and office work on both local and interstate sites. You will collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors and clients while conducting site investigations, due diligence assessments and data management tasks.

Requirements

  • Experience in contaminated land management and environmental services or similar experience with a demonstrated interest to move into this field
  • Proficiency in site investigations including sampling for soil, soil vapour, surface water and groundwater
  • Strong communication skills and experience with data management software (ESDAT/Equis)
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, agriculture or earth science
  • Ability to work safely on-site and manage subcontractors; willingness to work remotely and an open driver's licence and ability to obtain Defence security clearance are essential
  • Some regional work will be required as part of this role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preliminary and detailed site investigations including preparation, sampling and reporting
  • Perform due diligence assessments
  • Manage data and produce digital reports
  • Develop remedial action plans and site validation reports
  • Conduct supervision of sub-contractors and remediation contractors during remediation work
