Sylvera provides trusted ratings, tools and data for carbon credits and CDR. Our mission is to incentivize investment in real climate action through effective climate solutions. We’re looking for a mission-driven, high-potential intern excited by interdisciplinary work for our Applied Solutions Team.
The role involves fast-paced, hands-on work building new datasets and integrating them into minimum-viable-products or custom solutions for strategic clients. You’ll perform spatial analysis on geospatial datasets to identify trends across space and time. Responsibilities include reviewing project documentation and supporting client deliverables like slide decks and reports.
The Applied Solutions Team consists of engineers and analysts collaborating with customers, product, and commercial teams to solve real problems. Our broader team includes leading minds in climate change from scientists to policy, finance, and carbon market experts. We partner with scientific organizations, universities, governments, and think tanks.
You’ll contribute to projects shaping the future of climate solutions and learn new scientific domains quickly with team support. Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Enablement, and Product teams to explore analysis applications and graduate prototypes into the product roadmap. Gain exposure to a global company with offices in London, New York, Belgrade, and Singapore.
Requirements
- Mission-driven with excitement for climate action and carbon markets
- High-potential and eager to learn new scientific and technical domains quickly
- Interest in interdisciplinary work across climate science, policy, and data analysis
- Familiarity with geospatial datasets and spatial analysis techniques
- Ability to perform statistics on spatial data to identify trends
- Comfort with acquiring, cleaning, and transforming geospatial data
- Research skills for extracting variables from scientific and economic literature
Responsibilities
- Review project documentation and extract key data
- Support client deliverables such as slide decks and reports
- Perform spatial analysis and statistics on geospatial datasets to identify trends across space and time
- Acquire, clean, transform, and model geospatial data for repeated use
- Contribute to data analysis, MVP development, or one-off analyses for strategic clients, partners, or enterprise prospects
- Research scientific literature and economic publications to extract variables relevant to geospatial analysis
- Label geospatial data to support service testing and prototyping
- Collaborate with Marketing, Commercial, and Product teams to explore broader applications of analysis
