About this role

We are hiring an entry-level Environmental Geologist in our Environmental division. The role supports Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, environmental investigation and remediation projects at sites with contamination by solvents, petroleum fuels, metals, and PCBs. Join a dynamic team working on large, technically engaging, and impactful projects.

Perform various tasks including field work in all weather conditions, environmental construction monitoring, air, soil, sediment, and groundwater sampling, drilling supervision, report writing, and support project managers. Adjust to the schedule of a wide range of projects. Routine travel to job sites and occasional out-of-town travel with overnight stays may be required.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs over short distances. Adhere to Health and Safety program while working on diverse environmental projects. The position involves hands-on involvement across investigation and remediation efforts.

This entry-level opportunity provides exposure to technically challenging projects in environmental geosciences. Build foundational skills through direct support on real-world contamination sites. Contribute to meaningful remediation outcomes with a supportive team.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of experience preferred
  • BS in Environmental Science, Engineering, or Geology preferred
  • MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER
  • Willingness to perform field work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs over short distances

Responsibilities

  • Perform Environmental Construction Monitoring and Field Activity Supervision
  • Conduct air, soil, sediment, and groundwater sampling
  • Supervise drilling, soil classification, and logging
  • Adhere to Health and Safety program
  • Prepare reports
  • Support Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
  • Assist with environmental investigation and remediation projects
  • Support project managers on various projects
