About this role

Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. The Entry-Level Geologist role on the Resilience Environment team involves assisting Project Managers and Task Managers in environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks. Fieldwork and office duties support improving quality of life through complex challenge-solving.

Core duties include preparing subcontracts, overseeing subcontractors, and conducting soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling in the field. Office work encompasses task coordination, data compilation and interpretation, cost estimates, health & safety plan preparation, and report writing. Field efforts require regional travel up to 1-2 days per week, with occasional U.S. travel up to two weeks.

Successful candidates exhibit strong written and oral communication skills, self-motivation, and independent thinking while working effectively in teams or remotely. Emphasize health and safety during fieldwork, including overseeing drilling, groundwater well installation, and remediation system operation and maintenance. Adaptability and creative problem-solving enable collaboration on project strategies.

Support Pacific Northwest and National emergency response teams for incidents like train derailments and pipeline releases, potentially requiring unanticipated travel.
