ICF is seeking a skilled Senior GIS Specialist for GIS operations in Puerto Rico. The role focuses on leveraging GIS software and spatial analysis to create, update, and maintain spatial and design data for projects.
This position requires travel around the island to meet clients and stakeholders, with commutable access to the Guaynabo, PR office for essential meetings. Daily work involves data capture and analysis in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online, geodatabase management, aerial photo interpretation, map design, remote sensing with LiDAR, and data extraction from sources like engineering drawings and survey plats.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
- 5+ years of experience with managing cadastral data creation and editing using the ESRI ArcGIS suite.
- 5+ years of experience correctly implementing fundamental GIS concepts such as spatial projections, datums, REST feature services, feature editing, cartography, geodatabase management.
- 5+ years of experience with GPS data collection techniques, ESRI mobile solutions (Field Apps, Survey 123, QuickCapture), and incorporating survey data into a geodatabase.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
- Willing to travel up to 25% in Puerto Rico as requested.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform data capture, updates, and analysis within ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
- Manage and document geodatabases and keep metadata updated.
- Perform aerial photography interpretation and capture GIS data from raster datasets.
- Design and develop maps as needed for both hardcopy and website use.
- Employ various remote sensing data, including LiDAR products, to enhance maps, update elevations, and assign surface type classifications.
- Extract and develop data from a variety of sources including engineering drawings, survey plats, tax records, and plat maps.
