About this role

Under supervision, with latitude for independent initiative, the GIS Developer supports the development, maintenance, and optimization of ITT GIS mapping processes and infrastructure systems. This role designs, configures, and implements spatial data collection applications in ArcGIS Enterprise Portal and ArcGIS Online. Responsibilities focus on ensuring GIS systems remain current and stable through deployments and upgrades.

Day-to-day tasks include designing ESRI-based visualization products like interactive Dashboards and analytical reports to aid operational decision making. Support administration of ArcGIS Online and Enterprise Portal involves managing Azure Active Directory accounts, roles, group permissions, and user contents. Develop ETL workflows using SQL, Python, and ArcGIS Data Interoperability tools.

The position requires working under minimal supervision while exhibiting strong teamwork through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and contributing to collective goals. Provide end-user training on GIS applications to ensure effective operation and workflow adherence. Conduct independent GIS research and analysis for issue diagnosis and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering, human computer interaction, interactive media, digital and graphics design, data visualization, communication or a related field, and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the position
  • Associate degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering, human computer interaction, interactive media, digital and graphics design, data visualization, communication or a related field, and six years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the position
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, and eight years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the position
  • Education and/or experience equivalent to the above options
  • Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, ArcGIS Online, and ESRI tools
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL workflows for spatial data
  • Knowledge of Azure Active Directory for user management

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, maintenance, and optimization of ITT GIS mapping processes and infrastructure systems
  • Design, configure, and implement spatial data collection applications in ArcGIS Enterprise Portal and/or ArcGIS Online
  • Support deployment and full lifecycle management of GIS software including installations, upgrades, and patches
  • Design and develop ESRI based visualization products such as interactive Dashboards and analytical reports
  • Support administration of ArcGIS Online and Enterprise Portal user access by managing Azure Active Directory accounts, roles, and permissions
  • Support development of ETL workflows by building data transformation tables using SQL, Python, and ArcGIS Data Interoperability tools
  • Provide end user training on GIS applications
  • Independently conduct GIS research and analysis to diagnose issues and troubleshoot
