Our Ground and Water Team in Ireland is seeking a Hydrogeologist to join our industry-leading hydrogeology group, with direct mentoring and career development from the experts behind ConSim and LandSim.

In this role, you will play a key part in the day-to-day delivery of projects, developing conceptual models and interpreting hydrogeological and geological data. You will build source-pathway-receptor linkages and conduct risk assessment modelling to support contaminated land and landfill projects.

You will work closely with Project Managers and Directors within the UK and Ireland team, collaborating with diverse, talented individuals who will help expand your horizons. The team offers a supportive environment where you can learn software such as ConSim, LandSim, P20, FeFlow, Modflow, and Seep/W.

Requirements

  • Hydrogeological skills in managing data and preparing evidence-backed conceptual models (in consultancy or other relevant industrial or regulatory profession).
  • Demonstrable experience preparing factual and interpretive reports as a contributing author.
  • Risk assessment modelling using ConSim, RTM, and LandSim.
  • Working towards Chartership.
  • A motivated and engaging team player able to contribute collaboratively to the technical and social strength of the team.
  • Experience working in environmental consulting with direct experience in contaminant hydrogeology.
  • A postgraduate qualification (MTech, MSc or PhD) in hydrogeology or a hydrogeological discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Managing hydrogeological data and developing conceptual models and interpretation of data.
  • Developing hydrogeological conceptual models.
  • Using and learning software such as ConSim, LandSim, P20, FeFlow, Modflow, Seep/W.
  • Undertaking project tasks assigned by senior team members.
  • Preparing factual and interpretive reports under supervision of the senior team.
  • Communicating and liaising effectively with project team members, project managers, and directors.
  • Working on hydrogeological risk assessment, dewatering, groundwater resource, pumping tests, yield tests, modelling, borehole prognosis, abstraction, and geothermal.
