About this role

Atlas is a trusted leader in environmental and infrastructure consulting services with 3,500 employees and offices throughout the US. As Geophysicist II, you play a key role in uncovering and interpreting subsurface conditions for environmental, geotechnical, resource exploration, and construction decisions. You apply non-destructive geophysical methods to evaluate soil and rock properties and deliver actionable insights.

You assist with planning geophysical studies and conduct field studies under supervision to acquire data on contrasts in earth's physical properties like seismic velocities, electrical resistivity, magnetics, and gravity. You perform data management with meticulous notes, evaluate data in real-time for quality control, and process it for reports. Your work translates findings into clear maps, figures, and tables.
