Fortescue

Perth, AU · Full-time · A$180,000 – A$250,000

About this role

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Structural Geologist to join our team in a key role supporting structural and geotechnical operations across all our sites. Working closely with the Specialist Structural Geologist, you will develop and refine structural models, characterise geological structures, and assess associated geotechnical risks. Your work will directly contribute to safe and effective design and production outcomes.

This Perth-based position involves a strong site presence and collaboration with both Structural and Geotechnical teams. You will utilise expertise in structural mapping, geological interpretation, modelling, and reconciliation to deliver high-quality structural assessments. Routine tasks include creating models from drill hole data, geological mapping, and geophysics datasets.

Your role supports mining operations through structural data collection, in-pit reconciliation, and communicating structural risks across multiple sites. You will interpret photogrammetry and televiewer data while providing input to geotechnical design risk assessments. Collaboration with business units and external parties will build knowledge and structural systems.
