You will coordinate field crews, ensure QA/QC of data, and assist with scopes, proposals, reports, and deliverables. Requirements

  • 3 or more years of professional experience with near-surface geophysics for civil engineering and environmental applications
  • Experience with data collection using seismic refraction, MASW, electrical resistivity imaging (ERI), and/or GPR
  • Bachelor's Degree in Geophysics, Geology or related Science
  • Ability to conduct geophysical field work, including lifting up to 50 pounds and navigating undeveloped wooded areas, steep terrain, construction sites, trenches, ladders, and varied weather
  • Willingness to travel up to 80%, including out-of-state assignments lasting days to weeks or longer
  • Strong work ethic and desire for continuous professional growth

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the cohesive, positive culture of the geophysical group
  • Perform geophysical field work, coordinating with and leading field crews for data collection
  • Follow QA/QC procedures for geophysical data and deliverables
  • Assist with preparation of geophysical scopes, proposals, deliverables, and reports for various applications, projects, and clients
  • Communicate efficiently to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to client quality expectations
  • Support dams, geotechnical, and tunnels groups as needs arise
