About this role
As Geophysicist in Boskalis Hirdes EOD Services, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal department, you handle detection, identification, and removal of unexploded ordnance in offshore environments. This supports marine infrastructural and offshore renewables projects. You maneuver efficiently between tendering and execution phases.
You manage data acquisition, processing, and evaluation of geophysical survey data, mainly magnetic and electromagnetic, for offshore and onshore UXO detection. Coordinate geophysical measurements onboard survey vessels with survey personnel. Provide training and support on relevant measuring equipment.
Handle reporting, documentation of survey and project results in the office, and presentation of data per client specifications. Work requires willingness and physical fitness for offshore vessels and onshore sites. Operate in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements
- M.Sc. or higher in geosciences, geophysics, physics, or related field with focus on geophysics
- Basic knowledge of magnetometer, EM measurements and processing techniques
- Basic knowledge of survey sensors such as positioning and motion sensors desirable
- Experience working with Oasis Montaj and GIS (QGIS/ArcGIS)
- Experience in MS Office
- Knowledge of a programming language (Python, R, etc.) desirable
- Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience desirable
- Structured work method and logical thinking throughout large scale project work
Responsibilities
