About this role
The On-Call Cultural GIS Specialist II supports cartographic needs for utility, transportation, telecommunications, and energy infrastructure projects. Generate and incorporate geospatial information into components for environmental review reports. This remote position offers opportunity to transition full-time.
Use geospatial software to create templated static reference maps for local, state, and federal environmental reports. Process, interpret, and maintain geospatial vector data from various file formats. Apply geoprocessing and data query techniques to execute deliverables proficiently.
Update and maintain ArcGIS Online maps while processing pre- and post-field archaeological data for site record sketches and location maps. Produce consistent high-volume products to meet fast-paced deadlines. Report to GIS Supervisor at Eocene Environmental Group, part of Wright Service Corp family.
Join a team providing environmental, utility vegetation management, software, and sustainability services across four divisions. Uphold company core values, GIS procedures, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Candidates must reside in contiguous United States, ideally California, Oregon, or Washington.
Requirements
- BA/BS Degree or Technical Certificate in GIS and 4+ years of GIS work experience
- Experience with Esri Enterprise and geospatial software/applications such as ArcGIS Pro, AGOL, Field Maps, Survey 123
- Deep understanding of standard cartographic and database management principles
- Proficient in a wide array of geoprocessing tools and techniques
- Capable of effectively managing files for complex projects with and without enterprise-level tools
- Ability to perform work duties remotely and efficiently
- Capable of independently troubleshooting problems and researching solutions with moderate supervision
