About this role
We are looking for data scientists to join the PuTC Data Science team, where you will design and execute undirected research and tackle open-ended data problems related to the oil and gas domain. The role leverages advanced techniques in AI, machine learning, deep learning, and Generative AI to drive data-driven solutions.
In this position, you will work with very complex and large data sets, assimilating next-generation technologies to generate innovative ideas and establish new research directions. Day-to-day activities include developing data-driven algorithms and prototypes for classification, regression, anomaly detection, failure prediction, and optimization.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including business and engineering stakeholders to implement robust and scalable industrial software solutions. Regular communication through presentations and prototype demonstrations is essential, as is contributing to technical discussions and project reviews as an expert.
This role offers the opportunity to shape and execute on research projects while working on multiple projects simultaneously. Participation in technical forums, conferences, and other events will allow you to stay at the forefront of AI/ML applications in geosciences and exploration.
