About this role
Vulcan Energie Ressourcen GmbH is an innovative, fast-growing company in sustainable lithium extraction and renewable energies. With our lithium plant, we contribute to decarbonizing European industry and securing sustainable lithium supply. We seek a (Senior) Reservoir Geologist for our growing team in Karlsruhe on a full-time basis.
You interpret structural and stratigraphic features from image logs to characterize reservoirs and perform basic petrophysical evaluations to guide subsurface understanding. You conduct facies classifications and rock-typing of key reservoirs using subsurface and outcrop data, while correlating well logs for GDE maps and stress/strain models.
You build and maintain structural and petrophysical geomodels for geologically consistent input to numerical simulations. You support drilling via real-time logging surveillance and timely geological insights, collaborating closely with reservoir engineers in multidisciplinary teams.
You safeguard data integrity across well, seismic, and modeling datasets, while supporting data management of subsurface data and Petrel projects. With a proven track record of mentoring juniors, you translate complex concepts into clear insights for stakeholders in a motivated, structured environment.
Requirements
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Geosciences or a closely related field
