This 16-month temporary, full-time salaried position starts in May 2026 and supports potash mining operations through the GeoServices team. Title and banding will be based on education and experience. The role is not available for remote work and will be posted from January 15 to January 30, 2026.

Gain experience in microseismic monitoring and in-mine geophysical techniques while contributing quality geophysical support. Assist with microseismic event workflow focused on event review and reports, data analysis, sensor installation and management, and data acquisition using Ground Penetrating Radar, Electromagnetic, or Seismic methods. Some travel, underground mine work, and longer workdays may be required.

Requirements

  • Completed undergraduate degree in Geophysics, Geology, Mine Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Geological Engineering, Engineering Physics or other earth sciences (or equivalent) by end of April 2026
  • Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience through training
  • Excellent interpersonal teamwork and communication skills
  • Motivation to set and achieve goals, take initiative, and nurture projects forward
  • Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities
  • Alignment with Nutrien’s purpose and values
  • Preference for mining or heavy industrial experience and/or data analytics experience

Responsibilities

  • Gain experience in microseismic monitoring and in-mine geophysical techniques
  • Contribute to the GeoServices team providing quality geophysical support to potash mining operations
  • Support microseismic event workflow focused on event review and reports
  • Perform data analysis
  • Install and manage geophysical sensors
  • Conduct geophysical data acquisition mainly using Ground Penetrating Radar, Electromagnetic, or Seismic Reflection/Refraction
  • Travel as required and occasionally work in underground mines
