About this role

Ignitis Renewables, part of Ignitis Group, is a renewables-focused utility creating a 100% green and secure energy ecosystem. Join the Environmental and Permitting team to assist in the development and optimization of the company's spatial database.

You will develop and optimize the spatial database, integrating it with existing databases and publicly available spatial data to assess sites for renewable energy projects. Perform spatial analysis combined with other data for project development, analyze competitor projects, and create cartographic studies including map annexes. Support civil designers and the project development team throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • University degree in geoinformatics, engineering, geography, or a related field
  • Experience with GIS software (at least 2 years) and proficiency in ESRI solutions (ArcGIS PRO, ArcGIS Online)
  • Knowledge of publicly available GIS systems and databases (e.g., Geoportal, INSPIRE)
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and initiative
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills in English and Lithuanian

Responsibilities

  • Developing and optimizing the company's spatial database and integrating it with existing databases
  • Integrating publicly available spatial data to assess sites for renewable energy projects
  • Performing spatial analysis and combining it with other relevant data for project development
  • Analyzing competitor projects for insights
  • Creating cartographic studies, including map annexes for decision-making applications
  • Supporting civil designers and the project development team throughout the project lifecycle
