EHS Support is seeking an accomplished Principal / Senior Principal Environmental Scientist (Contaminated Land) to join and help lead our Brisbane practice. This senior seller-doer leadership role requires strong market presence, proven business development track record, and technical credibility to win and deliver complex projects. You will work closely with senior leaders across Australian and international business to drive growth in Queensland and nationally.
The role combines business development leadership with hands-on technical delivery, supported by an established team of experienced professionals. Central focus includes originating new work, leading client relationships, and delivering high-risk contaminated land projects like auditing and expert witness engagements. You will provide strategic advice on regulatory policy, compliance, and remediation strategy.
This position maintains a hands-on technical component within a collaborative environment of multidisciplinary teams. You will mentor, develop, and lead high-performing teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence. Contribution to company strategy and regional growth initiatives spans Australia and internationally.

Requirements
- Approximately 20–25 years’ experience in environmental consulting, with a strong focus on contaminated land
- Demonstrated seller-doer success, with measurable business development and revenue growth outcomes
- Recognized leadership capability, including delegation, team development and practice growth
- Technical expertise across contaminated land remediation, regulatory compliance, EMS and environmental assurance
- Strong client engagement skills and the ability to operate as a trusted advisor
- A collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset with a genuine interest in shaping culture and long-term business growth
Responsibilities
- Originate and secure new work through a proven seller-doer approach, driving revenue growth and market expansion
- Lead and grow client relationships across industrial, government and resources sectors
- Lead and deliver complex contaminated land projects, including high-risk, high-profile technical engagements such as auditing and expert witness work
- Provide strategic environmental advice on regulatory policy, compliance frameworks, assurance and remediation strategy
- Mentor, develop and lead high-performing multidisciplinary teams, fostering accountability, collaboration and technical excellence
- Contribute to company strategy, future planning and regional growth initiatives across Australia and internationally
