We are seeking an Associate Environmental Scientist to relocate to sunny Queensland and join our Contaminated Land and Water team in Brisbane. This role involves successfully project managing projects delivered on time and budget, overseeing detailed site inspections, and providing advice on environmental legislation.
You will work alongside more than 45 land and water professionals across Australia, including industry leaders and auditors, who are actively invested in mentoring and collaboration. The team maintains a strong culture with regular social events and collaborative work without an overemphasis on KPIs.

Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, or related field
- 9+ years experience within contaminated land and water in an environmental consultancy
- Some understanding of QLD and national environmental frameworks
- Industry certification (CEnvP or CPSS) or keen interest to pursue this
- Experience in soil and groundwater investigation and remediation
- Strong technical report writing skills
- Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and guidelines
Responsibilities
- Successfully project manage projects that are delivered on time and on budget
- Play a key role in overseeing and conducting detailed site inspections
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients
- Complete technical reviews of complex reports
- Provide advice regarding environmental legislation and guidelines
- Mentor and develop junior staff
