This Staff Professional – Soil Sampling role is based in Colorado and supports a large oil and gas operator. The position combines field and office work on a fast-paced portfolio of remediation projects that require technical skill and regular interaction with clients and regulators.

Daily responsibilities center on soil sampling, hand auguring, monitoring well installation and oversight of impacted soil and groundwater removal. You will also handle timesheet entry, technical writing for proposals and reports, data collection, and database management while supporting multiple projects at different phases of the environmental life cycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, and/or Engineering, or equivalent science degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Soil and groundwater experience is preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver’s license and successful clearance of criminal background check, motor vehicle records check, and drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day operations including development of site sampling strategy, soil sampling, hand auguring, installation of monitoring wells, and overseeing removal of impacted soil and groundwater.
  • Complete daily timesheet entry and submit on required schedule each Friday, the 15th, and last day of the month.
  • Support technical writing efforts including proposals, technical reports, permits and permit-related documents.
  • Support the full environmental life cycle of small- to large-scale oil and gas remediation projects at different phases.
  • Support data collection and database management for clients and internal use.
  • Coordinate project schedule, scope, budgets and client relations under direction of the Project Manager.
  • Ensure environmental compliance of field and lab data with permits and regulatory standards.
  • Practice safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations.
