About this role

e-GEOS is a leading international player in the Earth Observation (EO) and Geo-Spatial Information business. We are looking for talents as GIS & Remote Sensing Analyst. The role focuses on generation of geospatial products mainly based on the analysis and extraction of relevant information from remote sensing data using GIS software.

This process includes the creation of thematic maps, spatial modeling, and the integration of data from various sources. The goal is to provide accurate and timely decision support for applications in different fields. Activities will be carried out based on an 8/7 shift rotation.

Availability for secondment abroad or permanence for same periods is mandatory to fill the vacancies. The position requires working in an international environment. Preferential experience in multicultural teams is valued.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of remote sensing fundamentals
  • Experience in data analysis/interpretation from remote sensing, particularly photointerpretation of optical and SAR data
  • Advanced user-level knowledge of GIS tools (ESRI suite, open-source GIS)
  • Problem-solving attitude
  • Team working
  • Preferential work experience in international and multicultural teams
  • Advanced English (C1/C2)
  • Proficiency in software dedicated to processing SAR & Optical images (SNAP, ENVI, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Generate geospatial products based on analysis and extraction of relevant information from remote sensing data using GIS software
  • Create thematic maps
  • Perform spatial modeling
