Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology or related field.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Proficient technical writing, verbal communication, reasoning, and time-management skills.
• Able to work independently or with minimal direction in performing tasks under the direction of senior staff.
• Desire to learn and grow, demonstrating a positive attitude, strong work ethic, resourcefulness, flexibility, and ownership.
• Able to meet physical requirements: lift 50 lbs., traverse unstable/sloping sites, work outside in a range of weather conditions, and have stamina for moderate physical activity.
• Able to travel to work locations that may require overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct field investigations and assessments of soil, groundwater, and surface water using approved industry standard procedures.
• Conduct or observe hydrogeologic field testing such as pumping tests and in-situ permeability testing.
• Use results of field investigations to support hydrogeologic site characterization.
• Support hydrogeologic data organization, reduction, and synthesis.
• Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed documentation of activities in the field and during data evaluation.
• Apply academic training and use computer software to perform calculations and evaluate site data.
• Draft technical sections of project communications and reports.
• Assist with development of technical scopes of work and cost estimating for proposal efforts on small- to medium-sized tasks.
