Kick-start your Contaminated Land Management career with WSP’s Canberra-based team. With around two years’ experience after a graduate program or early consulting role, step up as an Environmental Scientist. Work on impactful projects across the ACT and NSW, supporting experienced contaminated land professionals.

Expect hands-on field work sampling soil, groundwater, soil vapour, air and landfill gas. Follow with data analysis and reporting that shapes project outcomes. Engage in environmental due diligence, site investigations and remediation planning.

Operate across Transport, Government, Defence, Energy and Property sectors for diverse client exposure. Canberra offers nationally significant, federally funded infrastructure and environmental projects. Enjoy fresh air, short commutes and safe communities for more life outside work.

Build foundations in project planning, stakeholder communication, environmental monitoring and contractor coordination. Requirements

  • Genuine interest in contaminated land
  • At least two years' work experience in a similar role
  • Some CLM experience or broader environmental experience with exposure to geology, soils, hydrogeology or environmental chemistry
  • Understanding of NSW and ACT environmental regulations
  • Willingness to do field work up to 75%
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Relevant Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering degree
  • Australian Driver’s License
