ICF is seeking a skilled GIS Specialist for GIS operations in Puerto Rico. The ideal candidate will have real-world experience leveraging Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software and spatial analysis.
This role involves creating, updating, and maintaining spatial and design data to support various projects within our organization. Perform data capture, updates, and analysis within ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online. Manage and document geodatabases while keeping metadata updated.
Design and develop maps for hardcopy and website use, employing remote sensing data including LiDAR products to enhance maps, update elevations, and assign surface type classifications. This is a remote position requiring commute to the Guaynabo office for meetings, team collaboration, and project needs, plus travel across the island to meet clients and stakeholders.
Support internal and external training and capacity building efforts, including developing and delivering training curricula and materials. Fluency in English and Spanish is required, with ability to travel up to 25% in Puerto Rico. Join a global advisory and technology services provider combining expertise with cutting-edge technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, planning or a GIS-related field from a four-year college or university; OR Associate’s degree in a relevant field with additional 2-3 years of related GIS experience and/or training
- 2+ years of experience with managing cadastral data creation and editing using the ESRI ArcGIS suite
- 2+ years of experience correctly implementing fundamental GIS concepts such as spatial projections, datums, REST feature services, feature editing, cartography, geodatabase management
- 2+ years of experience with GPS data collection techniques, ESRI mobile solutions (Field Apps, Survey 123, QuickCapture), and experience incorporating survey data into a geodatabase
- 1+ years of experience supporting or leading various technical or GIS-related trainings (in-person, virtual, etc.)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
- Ability to travel up to 25% in Puerto Rico as requested
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is required
